WELCOME BABY! is a parent education and support program designed, in part, to encourage reading to babies.
WELCOME BABY! is an affiliate of Baby TALK in Decatur, Illinois and is sponsored by the Skagit County
Public Health Department, Kiwanis, Rotary, Skagit Valley Hospital, Island Hospital, and the
Skagit County School Districts. Additional support comes from private citizens and volunteers.

As "Friends of WELCOME BABY!" and "Baby TALK", we are a United Way Agency.
Our mission is to encourage parents in the nurture of their infants and young children. WELCOME BABY!
provides information and services to parents to help them enjoy and understand their child's development.
It is our belief that more than any other single activity, reading aloud will enhance the parent/child
relationship and encourage the child's mental, social and language development.
